Weeping cherry shows dignity
Updated: Apr 1, 2019
There are a lot of kinds of cherry blossoms other than Someiyoshino, or the most typical cherry blossoms trees in Japan. This very famous weeping cherry in Rikugien, a landscape Japanese garden in Tokyo, is now in full bloom. It is about 15 meters high and 20 meters wide, a magnificent appearance. The branches are so wide and heavy, they are supported by pillars to prevent being broken. Even though it is Monday today, hundreds of people came to the garden to view this tree. In the evening they light up the tree only in cherry blossoms season, which must be breathtaking.
