Tokyo resumed its economic activities

Updated: Mar 15, 2021

The “soft lockdown” in Tokyo was lifted yesterday, and the city started to move forward slowly. Today a Japanese garden called “Higo Hosokawa garden” near my home reopened after 2-months’ closure, so I visited it. As it is Wednesday morning, the green zone was not very crowded, but I saw more people than usual. The season of Tsutsuji (azalea) has almost finished, but I am still in time for Iris. The nature changes as usual despite the coronavirus outbreak in human society. Fortunately, the turmoil in the nation had not gone too far, and now we are looking forward to a “new normal” life. I hope the pandemic in the world will calm down soon and that everybody can go or travel anywhere one likes. I am considering to visit more gardens in Tokyo once they are back in operation.
